The latest controversial news on the net is that Ellen DeGeneres quits 'American Idol' and Kara DioGuardi was reported fired from the show! The two prominent judges are apparently replaced by Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. 

DeGeneres released a statement Thursday announcing her exit from Idol after only one season.

"A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me," the comedian said, as per People. "I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for."

After major media outlets confirmed the news, I was shocked. But not as shocked as some of the celebs and die-heart Idol fans are on twitter. Idol season six third-place finisher Melinda Doolittle tweeted "I feel like I was tweeting this exact thing around this time last year. 'DUDE! Ellen?!?! DUDE!!!!!'".

Last season's champ, Lee DeWyze, also took to Twitter to offer a few words on how DeGeneres' departure may affect the show. "The show will be fine," he tweeted in reply to a fan.

And finally, Perez Hilton showered Perez Hilton with some Twitter love by tweeting, "'You would be Perfect on American Idol with your witty humor and music sense. I'd definitely watch! Loves it! #PerezForIdol"

Yeah, Paris would.

The latest controversy to hit the net is teenage singer Charice Pempengco preparing for her debut on the hit Fox TV show "Glee" by getting Botox and an anti-aging procedure "to look fresh on camera". Although her her publicist said the Botox was for muscle pain, not for cosmetic reasons, her fans are voicing strong opinions about the issue. The 18-year-old Filipino singer, who recently released her self-titled debut album and appeared on Ellen Degeneres' and Oprah Winfrey's talk shows, underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox injection to make her "naturally round face" more narrow, celeb cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo told ABS-CBN television.

Charice's fans seem to be torn on the issue. "I think it's OK for women to have procedures done, but Charice is too young. Does she need it?" said Patricia Carpio, a 21-year-old student. For Myrna Lumanao, a 23-year-old seller in a doughnut stall, looking natural is better. "I guess she can afford to have those procedures done because she has the money, but I wish she did not change her looks."

 In addition to shopping the rumored "one-million-dollar-fresh-out-of-jail" interview at various networks, the troubled actress covers the August/September issue of Complex. The feature was shot in May, when Lindsay Lohan showed up 5 hours late to the photoshoot. The sexy photos, unfortunately, do not come with an interview. Complex spokesperson says, "Unfortunately, Lindsay got caught up in the madness--Cannes, court, and conviction--before we had a chance to interview her. So we instead used the cover story to ask the question everyone's forgetting: what's it like to be LiLo right now?"
