XiXi's Biography

XiXi Yang's Snapshots!

XiXi Yang is an American TV host, actress, model, and an overall pop culture and new media fanatic! Currently, XiXi is hosting the Sunday segments of Facebook News TV, produced by Gimzi Studios in 2010, and her brainchild “Tweet Talk”, the first online show that satirizes all the latest celebrity tweets and twitter trends. She has just appeared as a pop culture commentator on “Say It Now”, a CBS pilot hosted by Valeri Bertinelli, from the popular television series “One Day At a Time” and the hilarious three time Gold Logie Award winning Austraulian TV presenter Rove McManus.

Growing up in Shanghai, China, and Tokyo, Japan, before coming to America, XiXi Yang is truly a citizen of the world! Besides being fluent in English, Mandarin, and Japanese, XiXi understands diversity and developed a deep passion for all things pop culture. At age 15 on a casual vacation to her childhood city in China, she wrote an article called “Comparing Cultural Differences: American and Chinese High School Students”, where XiXi conducted a survey of 500 high school students in Nanjing, China, and illustrated how Chinese teenagers live differently than American teens. The article was published in China’s “Yangzi Newspaper” and caught the attention of CCTV, the most powerful television broadcasting network in China. XiXi was interviewed by CCTV and received an overwhelming amount of positive response letters. It was through that experience she fell in love with the media and decided to spend the rest of her life empowering people through her life experiences.

In 2008, XiXi started her career in television by gaining international recognition as Miss China at the 25th Annual Hawaiian Tropic International Pageant (NBC). Since her crowning moment, she polished her natural charm and charisma in front of the camera with wide knowledge and passion for entertainment journalism. In addition to studying Mass Media & Communications at New York University, she has hosted for Dance Music Television (channel 18 in Westchester, New York), Blender Magazine, MTVu’s “College Dean’s List”, “Battle of the Unknown Comics” with Tommy Davidson, Global Volunteer Crusaders, ESPN’s “Rumor Mill”, All Entertainment TV, and various entertainment networks. From conducting one-on-one interviews with celebrities of all mediums such as Anne Hathaway, Nicole Scherzinger, and Donald Trump to bringing sassiness and humor to the tube by laughing along with the boys from AC/DC outside of Madison Square Garden, XiXi is known for her spunky personality and natural affinity to connect with people from all walks of life.

As a commercial model and an actress, XiXi has appeared in commercials for State Farm, Geico, Reebok, and Symantec Corporation. She has also modeled for “The Tyra Banks Show” and graced 8-pages in FHM.

When XiXi is not busy pursuing her passion of being an entertainment TV personality, she’s most likely jogging, dragging along her lazy dog Trekkie and squeezing her fat guinea pig Adira. If she could, she would survive on Pinkberry for the rest of her life.
